    Positioned virtually under dazzling Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal lies east of Annapurna Base Camp. Mardi Himal trek fulfills all the elements of classic trek including village settlements, farmlands, river streams featured with dramatic views of Snow Capped mountains.

    Although Mardi Himal remains overlooked, this trek has able to come on the forefront by now as it has been getting a lot of attention.

    There is a fair share of lodges & homestays in this trail where you can easily spend overnight with hygienic food to eat. No camping required!

    History

    • Mardi Himal is officially opened to trekkers in 2011
    • It was photographer Basil Goodfellow who encountered the delight of Mardi Himal form in 1953
    • Mardi Himal Trek is located to the east of Annapurna Base Camp
    • It is named after a small mountain-which goes by the name of well, Mardi Himal.
    • Mardi Himal (5587m) is on one of the ridges of Mount Machhapuchhre.

There are some exhausting stairs up & down which could slow you down other than that, there's nothing stressful. A light warm-up exercises or jogging is advisable for this trek.

    The Mardi Himal trekking is best preferred during spring & autumn i.e in between march-may & sept-nov. Amid these seasons, the weather is most pleasant which is good for hiking.
